This Should Be Epic

The last time these two players shook hands on opposing sides with a major award on the line? 2005 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The same image could be seen tonight, only with both players wearing different jerseys. And hopefully Ovechkin's arm won't be in a sling.

Tonight's game, like the others in the Washington-Pittsburgh series, should be a dandy. Washington is facing elimination for the second straight series, down 3-2 again to a lower-seeded opponent. Game Six between the Capitals and Rangers saw Tom Poti score a goal and add three assists in a 5-3 Capitals victory. Ovechkin, as talented as he is, will need that kind of help tonight if the Capitals want a chance to win the series.

Of course, if Crosby gets a huge push from Malkin tonight, you may see an image like this:

Ok, maybe not. Not between those two.

Anyway, game on! This should be a phenomenal game - exactly what playoff hockey should look like!

Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
